Doug Firley

Doug Firley, producer and keyboardist of Gravity Kills, is an accomplished musician and songwriter with over 12 years of classical training with the ability to write and perform in a variety of music genres and styles. He is a successful producer and engineer with an awesome sense of song structure.

For the last 15 years, Firley has made a career of producing and composing music for radio, television and motion pictures. After graduating with a film production degree from the University of Iowa in 1992, he co-founded Warren Media Group where he wrote and produced a number of local and regional commercial beds for television and radio including the Saint Louis Cardinals Television Baseball Theme in 1993.

He is most known for his work with industrial darlings Gravity Kills. Firley co-wrote and produced one of the group’s most famous singles, “Guilty.” The song exploded onto the local radio scene in the 90’s landed the band a contract with the legendary New York based TVT Records. Gravity Kills’ first, self-titled album was released in 1996 and led with the hit single “Guilty.” The track charted the top 10 at nearly every modern rock radio station in the country. The music video for “Guilty” was heavily requested on MTV and received constant air play; it rated in the top 20 continuously for weeks. That same album also produced three other top 10 singles and two more music videos. During this time Hollywood also began to take notice in Firley's music and utilized his talents on numerous high profile soundtracks including: Seven, Mortal Kombat and Escape From L.A. In addition, the song “Last” was featured in the film Kissing A Fool.

The huge success of the first album established Gravity Kills’ as one of the most creative and technically astute bands of the decade. The group also found worldwide chart success in England, Germany and France, and invoked a cult-like following. Firley’s studio efforts on Perversion, the band’s second release, in 1998 further pushed the group into the limelight. Gravity Kills’ again found top twenty success worldwide with this album. The record was a slight departure from the band’s first effort; the production broke all limits and established a new standard for others to follow.

2002 marked Firley's third album production and Gravity Kills' return to prominence with the release of Superstarved, their first album with Sanctuary Records and third album total. After a decade of cutting-edge music production, over a million records sold worldwide, numerous blockbuster motion picture soundtracks and network television underscores, Firley has established himself as a well respected producer.

In 2008, Doug received the Saint Louis Business Journal's "40 Under 40" award for business achievement and community service.

In 2009, Chris and Doug were featured on Alive Magazine's Buzz List.

Chris Loesch

Chris Loesch is an established singer/songwriter/producer, a veteran of the independent music industry, with more than 15 years under his belt as a professional rock vocalist and established producer with over eight years of classical voice training. His abilities as a performer and songwriter span a multitude of musical genres.

Chris formed the band Purge (later as Full System Purge), one of the most successful independent industrial rock acts to date, after graduating college on a full vocal scholarship. He wrote, produced, and provided lead vocals for the group, whose self-produced debut-turned-cult album CUD, sold out of pressing in a matter of weeks. Their follow up, Soundtrack for Suffering, was hailed by many industry insiders and underground press to be one of the most anticipated indie albums of 2001. Chris' concept for the album spawned interest in a possible comic book series and short film.

Suffering was a different take on FSP’s style; the group changed gears and released a semi-electronica-industrial album instead of the familiar, organic sound of CUD, a decision well received by their fans. FSP’s popularity soared in the internet medium, when their hit single "Therapy" held the #1 slot for six straight months on the worldwide Industrial and Industrial Rock charts at MP3.com with other Suffering tracks often taking the #2 and #3 slots as well; and still other songs holding slots in the top 20 worldwide Alternative chart. Several tracks were also placed on regional, national and international compilations for underground music including Blank Canvas Record’s European release Commercial Breakdown; two Regional Music Showcase compilations; a North by Northeast compilation; and two consecutive releases, Pointessiential 5 and 6 from top area radio station KPNT 105.7 The Point; extreme sports DVDs and videos, and an unreleased track was featured in the film Full Circle, which was featured at the famed Cannes Film Festival. Additionally, FSP was one of the top 10 featured performers at Las Vegas’ EAT-M Festival in 2002, Chicago’s MOBfest a year prior, and a host of other indie showcases and festivals. Chris also did a brief stint in the startup group Beautiful, which featured several other popular players in the industrial and metal genres.

His skillful ear, reputation, professional attitude, and keen understanding of melody and harmony along with his focus on creating arrangements that perfectly enhance a visual have established the demand for Chris' talent in the music industry. Chris currently works as a sought-after producer, songwriter and vocalist for independent, signed and unsigned artists.
